Rocking Night during SATCF “Saturation Party” Last Friday!

JAKARTA (01/26) – SATCF have finally held their second album showcase last Friday, at Rossi Musik Fatmawati. Starting out a little bit late than the scheduled times, the crowd has started to gather upon the stage when Terapi Urine began their set. Bringing black metal attitude, Terapi Urine seemed like a possessed lot as they sang about various things like “Muntah Sarah”. The repetitive lyrics was sung in such a high spirited demeanor as if no one watched the show. It was our first time watching this band live, and it took a while for us to recover from what we just saw. Nonetheless, Terapi Urine delivered their performance just alright.

It was time for the second act Polka Wars to hit the stage. As we have saw them on several occasions before, this band were in full command of their craftsmanship. Whether it’s a big stage or small stage like Rossi’s, Polka Wars gave their all. The band sang some numbers from their latest EP “EP/NY” as well as old songs. The crowd wasn’t as tightly packed as, let’s say, Homeshake’s show, but they were having fun and found enough space to dance along the tunes. Polka Wars set a higher standard for the next performer with their set.

At last, SATCF greeted the crowd who were mostly familiar faces to them. Adit and crew sang all the tracks on “Retorika” album bringing pop punk alive again. Despite their not-so-young appearance, SATCF members managed to run around the stage and delivered their songs as if they were on their prime. The whole event was held in a very rustic, raw, and simplest approach making the gig felt like it was organized by our friends. For a band like SATCF who have been around for more than one decade, a lot more preparation should be put into their gig especially as special as an album showcase gig. We hope to see more of SATCF this year with more shows or maybe a tour!
