Watch What Ben & Jody Are Up To on Filosofi Kopi Sequel, with New Plot and Characters Await
After initial introduction of the new casts, plot, and crews, we are now able to watch the first trailer from Filosofi Kopi sequel, officially titled Filosofi Kopi 2: Ben & Jody. The first installment of the movie saw some commercial and critic success and Angga Dwimas Sasongko once again dwells in the adventure of two best mates, Ben (Chicco Jerikho) and Jody (Rio Dewanto). Originally adapted from a best selling novel written by Dewi ‘Dee’ Lestari, the sequel of Filosofi Kopi develops a new story taken from the contest winners held last year. The new movie will have a fresh addition with 3 new roles played by Luna Maya, Nadine Alexandra and Ernest Prakasa. Filosofi Kopi 2: Ben & Jody takes place two years after their first adventure in finding the best coffee beans and created the best coffee out of it. Ben, Jody along with their crews decided to take a trip across Indonesia and sell their coffee on a van. The adventure with ‘Kompi Filosofi Kopi’ hit deadlock as their crews resigned from work during their stop in Bali. Having no crew on board, both Ben and Jody had to swallow the bitter reality.
They decided to return to Jakarta with a mission of being a number one coffee shop in town. This seemingly ambitious dream are met with the dynamics of a relationship between Ben who is an idealist and Jody who has enough of it. On the road of making their dreams come true, they meet an investor named Tarra (Luna Maya) and a barista named Brie (Nadine Alexandra). These four different characters have to put aside their ego to establish Filosofi Kopi coffee shop and work together to prove that hard work does pay off. Could they make it happen? On 13 July 2017, you could watch the whole story unfolds in the theaters near you. As a plus, Fourtwenty also fill in the soundtrack of the movie and in the trailer you could hear Sheila On 7’s classic hit “Sahabat Sejati” as the background song.
