Filthy Frank, Oops, We Mean Joji Will Perform at This Year’s WTF!

If you are one of many people who has set their notification on to know the second line-up announcement from We The Fest 2019, then you are in for a treat. The biggest festival for music and art in Indonesia took their social media to announce several musicians who will take part in the latest edition of WTF. Leading the pack is Joji, f.k.a Filthy Frank or Pink Guy who began his (serious) career in the music industry with 88rising. Joji will accompany his former labelmate, Yaeji, who has been announced as the guest star of WTF 2019 on the first line-up. Another spotlight stealer is Jai Wolf, American electronic musician whose songs like “Indian Summer” or “Starlight” has taken him to fame in the past few years. Barasuara has established themselves as We The Fest’s homeband as they are set to return to the festival, presumably to promote their latest album. Elephant Kind also follows the footstep of Barasuara as they are also set to appear in this year’s festival. As the main demography of We The Fest’s attendees are those in their early 20s, it is exciting to see The Adams on the line-up to bring back that major 2000-ish throwback as well as showcasing their stellar new album “Agterplaas” with a live performance. Soloist Pamungkas will mark his debut on the annual music celebration as well.

Enough talk about the ‘sidestream’ people, We The Fest made it loud and clear that they always cater towards the biggest names in the game by bringing Troye Sivan, Cashmere Cat, and Anne-Marie to the three-day affair. Troye Sivan’s performance in Indonesia has been long awaited and this musician has generated a strong fanbase within the nation with his quirky aura and catchy songs. Anne-Marie is slated to set foot in Indonesia for the second time and the “Rockabye” songstress will show out her pipes and range to the audience. Last but not least, electronic producer hailing from Norway, Cashmere Cat will present a one-of-a-kind set that you can dance and sing along to. Simultaneously with the second line-up announcement, We The Fest 2019 also announce ‘Beyond The Music’ program which spans various sub-programs like Arts Village, Ismaya Food Town’s Eats & Beats food court, a Cinema Club where old and new movies will be on show, WTF Con where punters can interact with curated brands and media partners, and a Carnifun games section, ticket-holders will be spoilt for choice when they want to take a break from the music. We The Fest 2019 2nd Line Up Announcement Joji
