Rayssa Dynta Plays with Ambiance on “Under Cover”
Rayssa Dynta has just unveiled her new single titled “Under Cover” on March 29th, 2019. Let’s break it down, shall we? Her debut EP “Prolog” is a blend of dreamy ambiance with electro-pop music. While the formula doesn’t seem new to the Indonesian music scene, Rayssa Dynta still could capture the listeners with her persona and aesthetic. “Under Cover” acts as a bridge between “Prolog” and Rayssa’s future venture, though it might still sound similar to her debut, we could safely say that she explores the ambiance part of her music a lot more on this one. The track begins with a minute long instrumental with lots of chill-sounding tunes that might easily belong to your “Beats To Relax/Study To” playlist. When the pulsating beats and stirring ambiance started to lull you away, Rayssa’s voice entered the scene with her usual child-like tone. However, unlike “Something About Us” that talks about an innocent kind of love, “Under Cover” talks about a secret affair she’s having. 
The song carries on a light note throughout the end, and we could listen to Rayssa’s wider range of vocals as it progresses. The song also offers some progression that floats over the hazy melodies. “As a final presentation of her Prolog era, she has released Under Cover as a hope it will do her debut justice,” stated Rayssa on a press release we received. “Under Cover” was produced by Lukman Hakim Ijas, who happens to be a good friend to Rayssa Dynta. This track excels in its melodies and arrangement composition compared to Rayssa’s remixed tracks which were released after “Prolog” EP. If this is a sign of what her full-length album or second EP is going to sound like, we might need a pair of really badass earphones.
