Taking Back Sunday is Coming to Indonesia for Its 20th Anniversary!
Next year, Indonesia will be filled with concerts from foreign musicians and as the latest one to join the party is Taking Back Sunday. The indie rock/emo band formed in 1999 will hold a special show in the archipelago that is slated to be held on January 23rd, 2019. Organized and promoted by MyWILL Entertainment, their show is officially titled as ROCK N’ SOUND. Next year also marks the 20th anniversary of this band, so the show will hold a special place in the hearts of the musicians and its fans as well. The band first debuted with a full-length studio album called “Tell All Your Friends” in 2002. The album marks a huge breakout for the band as it receives generally favorable reviews from media and critics alike. It also achieved gold certificate as physical records which were able to reach 790,000 sales. For “ROCK N’ SOUND”, Taking Back Sundays have prepared a special setlist that will enable the concert goers to rewind the past. They will reportedly play all the songs in this album which is a total of 1o tracks.
After finishing their special set, they will try their best to cram 20 years of career in the remaining setlist. This time, two local bands which are Speaker First and PADI Reborn will open the set of Taking Back Sunday. “2019 will mark the twentieth years of Taking Back Sunday being a band and we’re going to do an album play tour where we’ll be performing albums entirely,” said Adam Lazzara in an interview. Adam Lazzara will be joined by John Nolan, Mark O’Connell, and Shaun Cooper as the current members of Taking Back Sunday. This band has undergone various member changes before sticking around to its final form that we’re about to see on their upcoming tour. Held at Tennis Indoor Senayan, there will be three categories available for this concert starting from Festival A, Festival B, and VIP.
