Winter is Coming to Indonesia! Welcoming Hodor from GoT to Indonesia Comic Con
Another spectacular pop culture festival is about to happen in the next two weeks in Indonesia. Titled Indonesia Comic Con 2018, the festival will happen for two days from 27 – 28 October 2018 at Hall A & B, Jakarta Convention Center. ReedPop through Reed Panorama Exhibition has boasted a stellar line-up of speakers and guests from local and abroad. One of the names that got us excited was Kristian Nairn who plays the role of Hodor on popular TV series, Game of Thrones. Hodor is portrayed as a stable boy for the Stark families who wills to give up his life for his master. Kristian Nairn isn’t only good at acting, the Irish man is also known as a DJ that plays progressive EDM tunes. He has released his debut single called ‘Up’ recently which features the vocal from Leanne Robinson. Nairn is also one of the most active cast from Game of Thrones who visit several countries to promote the series. The final season of this HBO’s popular show will hit the screen starting from March 2019, so you can expect a few snippets or teasers from Kristian Nairn during his appearance as a panelist at Indonesia Comic Con 2018.
There will also be an exhibition, live performances, Cosplay championship, and many engagement programs that have been designed to be enjoyed by the visitors. “We have prepared various fun activities and invited many pop culture characters from abroad for Indonesian and Southeast Asian fans. Besides that, a few famous brands are confirmed to greet their gans like Disney’s Animation Mickey Mouse; Marvel’s Studio Avengers; Disney Interactive’s Battle Lines & Pixel Quest; 20th Century Fox’s Alita: Battle of the Angel; Paramount Pictures’ Bumblebee Movie; and many more. We can’t wait to give an exciting and unforgettable moments,” said Steven Chwee, General Manager Reed Panorama Exhibitions. Several names that have been announced as the guest speakers are Adrian Pasdar, the actor from ‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’; Leon Chiro, a professional cosplayer from Italy; King TW, a popular male cosplayer from Taiwan; Chihiro Chang, a popular female cosplayer from Taiwan; Alan Quah, Malaysian’s comic artist; Dexter Soy, comic writer from the Philippines; Harvey Tolibao, a comic artist from The Philippines; Crissy Cheung, art director and illustrator from New York, US; Iwan Nazif, Ario Anindito, Yasmine Putri, Arif Prianto, and Jasmine Hanny Sukartty, comic artists from Indonesia; as well as Taku Inoue, DJ and musician from Japan.
