[UPDATED] Snail Mail is Coming Over to Jakarta for Noisewhore Live!
If you’ve been inserting Snail Mail‘s songs on your favorite playlist for a while, then you would have a chance to see her perform live. It was just announced that Lindsey Jordan, the woman behind this project will be coming over to Jakarta for a performance on October 13th, 2018. Her career started in 2015 with a self-released and self-recorded EP “Sticki” that got her booked on DIY-shows across the United States. In the following years, she released another EP under Sister Polygon Records and finally made her big break by debuting a full-length album “Lush” under Matador records. Earning generally great reviews from the listeners and critics alike, it’s only time that Snail Mail turns into a global sensation. A world tour is long overdue, and now Lindsey and her bandmates will kick off an Asian tour with Jakarta as one of her destinations. Her coming to the archipelago will be featured on Noisewhore Live, a routine music performance installation which is initiated by music collective, Noisewhore.
Snail Mail will be the last scheduled act for this installment of Noisewhore Live in 2018 following performances from Homeshake, Peach Pit, Sunset Rollercoaster, Cosmo Pyke, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra and many more acts in previous editions. Stated on a press release that we received, the next edition of Noisewhore Live is still uncertain. While Snail Mail’s performance has been confirmed, the supporting acts for this show have been announced as well. Collaborating with Kolibri Rekords who are known with their gig series called ‘Internet Fwendz’, there will be three bands from three different regions. There is Much, an indie pop outfit coming from Malang; Rrefal, Semarang’s dream pop outfit; as well as Grrrl Gang, Kolibri Rekords’ resident who has just released its first EP. Once again, Rossi Musik Fatmawati will host the show from Snail Mail. You can check out more information regarding this show directly to Noisewhore’s official website or tune in to their Instagram.
