High Therapy Sin Nation Music VideoGet Down on A Trippy Lane with “Sin Nation” Music Video by High Therapy

High Therapy is a duo made up of Hajar and Bari from Tangerang, who aren’t like your usual next-door musicians. Together, they fuse dub, electronic and psychedelic and label themselves as experimental musicians. Recently, on 25 December 2017 the band uploaded their first ever music video for a song called “Sin Nation”. The song begins with an electronic beat and then followed with dub-reggae rhythm that continues to play as the underlying beat throughout the whole piece. You could find a little psychedelic elements thrown in between the vocals or interlude. “Sin Nation” is a collaboration between High Therapy and Cruzzy, who is a turntablist from Westwew Squad. The music video has also been uploaded on the collective’s Youtube channel, and we could say that the visual complements the song well. Directed by Jovian Fraijee and Yosa Putra, the video takes you on a trip lane from that start till end. There is a combination of vintage videos footage along with the play of lights, visual mapping among many other things.

Bari and Hajar play multiple instruments in this band as well as take roles on the production team. Hajar acts as the music director who designs the concept, records, mixes the records, as well as plays bass and takes the role of a backing vocal. While Bari plays the drum, sings, and composes the tracks for High Therapy. They plan to be a multi-intrumentalist band, with synthesizer, percussion, and vocoder. So far, they have worked with Tuan Tigabelas and Cruzzy for their upcoming record which is planned to be released in early 2018. The tracks that have been completed are “School Of Hard Knock”, Ï’m Free”, “Guess What I Do?” and “Sin Nation”. To gear up for their album, here is the music video of “Sin Nation”.
