Mew and Dashboard Confessional Confirm Their Performance on Soundrenaline 2017!
Soundrenaline 2017 that will be held on 9 – 10 September at Garuda Wisnu Kencana, Bali promise more exciting show as the second line-up has been announced. Following the news that was spread through social media on the past weekend, it has been confirmed that two international bands will attend Soundrenaline 2017. They are no other than Dashboard Confessional and Mew that will join JET as the performers of the music festival. The addition of these two named adds more anticipation from the audience to stream the venue this September. Jonas Bjerre, Johan Wohlert and Silas Utke Graae Jørgensen from Mew have just released their latest album called “Visuals” last April. The Danish alternative rockers are a frequent performer in Indonesia and have held a concert in the country for four times already. Each time the band come out with new album, it seems like they always pay Indonesia a visit to promote it. Last time, they held a promotion tour for their album “+-“ in 2015 with an intimate concert in Jakarta. While Dashboard Confessional will mark their third visit to the country after performing here twice in 2010. The emo band fronted by Chris Carraba released their most recent EP called “Covered + Taped” in which they cover songs from Justin Bieber, The 1975, Julien Baker and Sorority Noise. Recently, Dashboard Confessional also hold a joint tour with The All-American Rejects in North America.
These three names are the pinnacle of Soundrenaline 2017 line-up along with equally stellar musicians from Indonesia like Tulus, Andien, Sheila On 7, Kelompok Penerbang Roket, Naif, and many more. From the official website of both bands, Mew are scheduled to perform on 9 September 2017 before continuing their tour to Australia and Dashboard Confessional are going to perform on the second day. The two-day event will reveal collaboration project called ‘Soundrenaline Project 3.0’ that combines talents from Danilla, Candil, Shae, Aqi from Alexa, Fadli from Musikimia and Monita Tahalea and ‘Rhythm of People’ that are made up of Iga Massardi and Marco Steffiano from Barasuara, Stella Gareth from Scaller, Kikan, and Coki from NTRL. Other fantastic collaborations that are worth to wait are Kelompok Penerbang Roket x Glenn Fredly, Andien x Scaller, Danilla x Mondo Gascaro, Barry Likumahuwa x Abdul and The Coffee Theory, Endah n Rhesa x Adhitia Sofyan, Neonomora x HMGNC, and Stars and Rabbit x Bottlesmoker. Not only music performances, there will also be art exhibition from the finalists of GoAheadChallenge who have been chosen through Road To Soundrenaline series in several cities, marketplace, and many more.
