Indie Folk Band, Fletch Are Resurrected with New Single “Tiga Pagi”
It has been so long that Fletch have left the music scene, but they have returned with a new single on 23 May 2017 titled “Tiga Pagi”. The band which were formed in Malang in August 2015 mark the release of the single as the beginning to compose their upcoming EP. The indie folk band are comprised of Richard (vocal, guitar), Rido (keyboard, vocal), Danti (ukulele), Rifqi (drum), Amanda (violin), and Naufalia (Bass). This band have participated in a compilation album made by Homeband FISIP University of Brawijaya called “V: Frekuensi Tanpa Batas” with a single. Afterward, the band went on a hiatus until they released this single few days ago. “Tiga Pagi” tells about the worry that someone experiences towards his/her feeling to someone else. Those thoughts only appear during a third of the night when this person’s mind has been overfilled with unnecessary contemplation. We think that many people could relate to this topic and this kind of thought will haunt you in your sleep and keep you awake.
Through a press release, Fletch admit that their music is heavily inspired by Indonesian folk band, The Trees and The Wild and post-rock unit Explosions In The Sky. “Tiga Pagi” reminds us of The Trees and The Wild in their early years, while the post rock element in this song is not too prominent albeit present. With this single, the band wish to introduce their music in the indie music scene, especially in Malang where the band were born. The single “Tiga Pagi” by Fletch has been released on digital format and can be streamed through Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and SoundCloud. We wish you a great success for the upcoming EP, and hopefully it will be released this year. Follow them on Instagram for latest updates and listen to “Tiga Pagi” on all of its glory below.
