Vvachrri Offer Aggresive Rock Tune with New Single “Steve The Dragon Slayer”
Vvachrri is the side project from the drummer of emo band What The Sparrow Did To You. The man whose real name is Adtria Fachri has just revealed his latest single called “Steve The Dragon Slayer”. On the press release, Vvachrri stated that this song tells about a struggle of a child who defends himself from a horror that is bullying and the endless support from his mother. We do not know how it correlates with dragon slayer, but we like the fantasy theme going on here. The lyrics which are full of supportive remarks tells a narration of a boy getting bullied through his school time. It is said to be based on the writer’s own experience. It shows you how the act of bully can affect the victim and lasts for a long period of time. Despite labeling his band as an indie rock/emo act, we can see a different kind of tune in this song. Vvachrri does not play safe and chooses to infuse noisy rhythm, metal, and post-hardcore in “Steve The Dragon Slayer”.
The one man band show a more aggressive side to him compared to his previous releases. Beforehand, Vvachrri has released an EP titled “Likuita, Embodies & Poet, Her Adeline // Virginia”. Unfortunately, the old record label Sailboat Records are not operating anymore. The new single was recorded at Aion Studio with Yutsi Surya P. as the sound engineer, mixer and mastering. This single is planned to be included in Vvachrri’s upcoming EP called “Kitten Empire” that will be available digitally.
