Eleventwelfth Eventually Unleash Self Titled Debut Album Under Six Thirty Recordings
Some time ago, there’s a band who managed to capture the attention of emo and indie rock enthusiasts and they are called eleventwelfth. The band hailing from the capital city of Indonesia has recently debuted their self-titled EP under Six Thirty Recordings. Before revealing this project, the band comprised of Almas Makitsuna (drums), Rona Hartriant (vocals & guitars) and Yogawerda Kessawa (guitars) have uploaded four singles onto their Soundcloud account. The new record does not derive too far in terms of music than their previous ones. To kick start the EP launching, a single which feature Asteriska from Barasuara was released and it’s titled “Your Head As My Favorite Bookstore”. The single received a warm welcome from the listeners and critics alike, giving a high hope to their forthcoming album.
On 10 March 2017, nine songs within this album are revealed and it showcases eleventwelfth’s take on twinkling guitar sounds combined with indie rock and a little bit pop punk element thrown inside. The opening number titled “farther than i might have ever figured” is a high spirited emotive power pop number that is such a perfect fit to open the album. Afterwards, the tracks vary between slow, mid, and fast tempo and bring dynamics to the album. There is also a little interlude in the album called “could have known”. This album is special to the band, as it is dedicated to Rona Hartriant’s father who passed away in 2015. They also stated that this album was created to fulfill their own satisfaction, rather than searching for pride. With their continuous idealism in making music, hopefully the listeners will embrace their music with arms wide open.
