BALI (9/8) – Mocca is a name that is often been invited as Soundrenaline guest stars. This year’s festival also saw Arina and co. took the stage at Slim Refined area (GWK’s amphiteater). Performing upon a packed crowd, they played a rather unusual set. They started off with a song from their old discography called “Twist Me Around”. It is followed afterward with another nostalgia hits like “Imaginary Girlfriend”, “Lucky Me”, and “My Only One”. The swinging band hailing from Bandung also mixed their old songs with newer ones taken from their fifth album “Lima”. This album is the first time Mocca sang their songs in Indonesian.
A surprise came near the end of their set when they invited Viki, Burgerkill’s vocalist on stage. Together they performed a song from The Beatles called “I Will”, their collaboration called “When We Grow Old”. It was ended with a song called “Swing It, Bob” when Vicki showcased his famous scream. Through a press conference after their set, Mocca said they only practiced with Vicki once. Moreover, they also told their journey of collaborating with the Burgerkill’s vocalist that was initiated when they met on an event. Mocca also conveyed their admiration towards fellow guest stars of Soundrenaline like Limp Bizkit and other Indonesian bands.
