PARAMORE Fulfilled Their Promise with Tour Five in Indonesia!
TANGERANG (8/25) – After much anticipation from their fans, PARAMORE fulfilled their promise to return to Indonesia. Embarking on their summer tour called Tour Five, the band set foot in Indonesia on August 25th for a performance at Indonesia Convention Exhibition at BSD, Tangerang. Brought by MCM Live, Sonic Live Asia, and POP, the concert was attended by both those who have purchased the tickets in February and new attendees who were dying to see the band’s live performance. The stage design which was inspired by the visuals from “After Laughter” was clad in bright neon colors. Kotak took the stage first to deliver their hit songs and the crowd pretty much sang along to the familiar tunes. The audience then cheered loudly upon Hayley Williams, Zac Farro, and Taylor York’s entrance to the stage. “Grudges”, a single taken from PARAMORE’s fifth album was sung as the opener. It was continued with “Still Into You” that received a warm response from the audience. Hayley Williams sported hot pink’s blazer with a white t-shirt and blue short pants underneath.
She greeted the fans and continue to perform the band’s old hits such as “CrushCrushCrush”, “That’s What You Get”, “Ignorance” and many more. It was such a nostalgic experience especially for those who grew up listening to this band. PARAMORE got their faces painted with sparkly make-up and they seemed to enjoy their stage very much. They also covered a song from rapper Drake called “Passionfruit” with their own twist and it sounded so different from the original version. After singing 18 songs in total, the audience wanted more from them. So, PARAMORE sang three more songs as an encore started with “Told You So” and a cover od HalfNoise called “All That Love Is”. Their set was closed with “Hard Times” with a great singalong. The Tour Five concert ended pretty early so it was a little surprising at first. Maybe the location contributes to the organizer’s decision to make the concert ended at 9.30 PM. The crowd who were there since afternoon got the chance to eat and pray at the venue’s facilities which we think was pretty convenient. Hopefully, we could experience more PARAMORE’s concert many years later!
