Dubber Tetsuya Kakihara Will Attend POPCON Asia 2018
JAKARTA – POPCON Asia 2018 adds another exciting name to their long list of guest stars. It is popular dubber or also known as seiyuu in Japanese, Tetsuya Kakihara, who will attend the biggest pop culture festival in the nation. Tetsuya who is friendly addressed as “Kakki” is known for his hot and cool tone of his voice. He often dubs anime characters with energetic personalities. For anime lovers, you must recognize his voice as Natsu Dragneel from the animated serial “Fairy Tail”. His expertise in speaking English and German also come in handy when he voiced the character of Laevatein, a weapon that belongs to Signum from serial “Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha”. This will be the first time this seiyuu to meet his fans from Indonesia, so you should not miss the opportunity of meeting him in person. As a person who is involved in “Fairy Tail”, he also wants to convey a message that signifies the return of this manga. Sensei Hiro Mashima continues the story on his latest manga “Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest” while the animated serial will reach its last season on October. In another news, this manga will have its own action RPG mobile game.

Happening from 22 – 23 September 2018 at ICE, BSD, POPCON Asia also holds a competition for dubbing with characters that have been voiced over by Tetsuya previously. The registration for this competition has been opened until 2 September 2018 and the tickets for the annual event has been on sale starting from IDR75,000 (Early Bird).
