Come Get Your Protomartyr Live in Jakarta Ticket Now!
As all of you might have known now, post-punk Gods from Detroit, Protomartyr are slated to perform in Jakarta this 21 June 2018. Presented by a collaboration of 630 Recordings and Winona Tapes, the ticket and official poster for Joe Casey (vocals), Greg Ahee (guitar), Alex Leonard (drums) and Scott Davidson (bass guitar) show have been unveiled. Rega Ayundya, a young visual artist from Jakarta was appointed to design the official poster for Protomartyr’s show in J-town and she uses her unique pattern on the poster as can be seen above. Before watching them in action, there would be two opening acts which are Crayola Eyes and The Porno. Hailing from Jakarta, Crayola Eyes’ music can be categorized as psychedelic rock while The Porno are known to do post-punk genre.
Protomartyr will take the stage on the base floor of Rossi Musik Fatmawati to perform their songs from their lengthy discography. Before departing to Jakarta to finish the rest of their Asia’s tour schedule, Protomartyr are set to debut their EP called “Consolation” on June 15th. So, their new songs might appear on their setlist in Jakarta. Judging by their previous tour setlist, the new songs from latest album “Relatives in Descent” will dominate their set with old songs thrown in between. Also supported by Bayusvara, Maternal Disaster, and Frekuensi Antara, Protomartyr’s coming to Indonesia has been long awaited since they were formed in 2008. The band who is now under Domino Recordings have established a unique post-punk sound on their own. So far, they have released four LPs, 1 EP as well as an upcoming EP.
