Pohon Tua Brings His Folk Tunes to Japan – Tour Starts Today!
Pohon Tua, the solo stage name for musician whose real name is Dadang SH Pranoto will be heard in Japan soon. The soloist who is famous for his sentimental vocals as well as his dreadlocks has announced his tour to Japan in the month of April. Starting from today, 6 April 2016, Pohon Tua will make an appearance in three different cities, with 6 scheduled gigs in total. Pohon Tua Tour in Japan starts at Nagoya City, before he continues his journey to Anjo City, Hamamatsu City, Kouenji Tokyo City, Kunitachi Tokyo City, and Imaike Nagoya City. Pohon Tua has released his solo album titled “Kubu Carik” on November 2017. The chance to visit Japan will not go to waste as the soloist is going to shoot a music video for a single called “Matahari Terbit”.
Along with the tour announcement, “Kubu Carik” album has also been distributed in its physical format (compact disc) through various independent record stores. Pohon Tua or Dadang SH Pranoto has been active as a soloist since he debuted with this album. Moreover, he still managed to release new materials with his group, Dialog Dini Hari. With his band, he released a single called “Sediakala” which tells about the longing for their little ones from a father’s perspective.
