UFF 2018 Announce Speakers and Asian’s Finest Chefs for Kitchen Stage
UBUD _ Ubud Food Festival (UFF) 2018 will be held once again this April and presented by ABC, the event has announced several speakers for their fourth edition. The speakers include chefs, celebrities, food bloggers, culinary writers, presenters, nature and agriculture practitioner, enterpreneur, innovators as well as pioneers from Indonesia and abroad. For three days, from 13 to 15 April 2018, they will dine, party, and share their how-to, expertise, and experience about the culinary industry with the participants of the festival. The list of speakers for the annual celebration which has the theme “Generasi Inovasi” is Chef Ragil Imam Wibowo from NUSA Indonesian Gastronomy, Andrian Ishak from Namaaz Dining, Kim Pangestu from Kimmy Patisserie and Nomz Kitchen & Pastry, Gloria Susindra from Mother Monster, Hans Christian – Chef de Cuisine of View Restaurant by Fairmont Jakarta, Putu Sumarjana from Nusantara by Locavore, Mandif Warokka from BLANCO par Mandif, Tri Sutrisna – supervisor of social enterprise Wanaprasta, Chef Rydo Anton – Head Chef of Gaggan (Bangkok), Rishi Naleendra – Sri Lankan Chef behind Cheek by Jowl (Singapore).
Still from Singapore, there will also be Petrina Loh from Morsels and Sun Kim – Korean chef behind Meta (Singapore). From South Korea, you’d be able to see Jun Lee from Soigné restaurant (Seoul) in action. From the culinary tech and industry there will be David Christian, Co-founder of Evoware; Tissa Aunilla from Pipiltin Cocoa; Helianti Hilman, Founder of JAVARA Indonesia; Steven Kim, Founder of Qraved; and Thor Yumna from TaniHub. UFF’s frequent speakers and guests like Sisca Soewitomo, Rinrin Marinka, Farah Quinn, Petty Elliott, Will Meyrick, and Chris Salans will once again greet you during the three-day festival. In conjunction with the speakers announcement, UFF 2018 also announce several chefs that will showcase their skills by demonstrating their cooking on Kitchen Stage. First off, Chef Jun Lee from South Korea who owns Soigné restaurant that has been awarded with Michelin star will perform on Kitchen Stage. He will cook his signature dish using lamb as the main protein cooked with Korean traditional technique.
Chef Sun Kim from South Korea who has also been awarded with Michelin star for Meta restaurant will demonstrate how to cook Korean most loved dish, Bibimbap with a little European touch. His signature bibimbap will incorporate crab meat, salted egg, and secret chili sauce. Another Michelin awardee, Chef Rishi Naleendra from Cheek by Jowl will demonstrate his expertise in using simple protein in combination with rich flavored seasoning. His session called Kitchen Stage: Michelin-starred Modern Australian with Rishi Naleendra will combine simple protein like Barramundi with rich flavored seasoning like leeks. Rydo Anton, an Indonesian chef who builds his career in Bangkok will introduce you to cook a dish with 5S flavor – Salty, Sweet, Sour, Spicy, and Surprise during Kitchen Stage: The 5S Equation with Rydo Anton session. Andrian Ishak, the chef who is famous for his molecular gastronomy technique will sho you wonder through his session on Kitchen Stage: Sonic Seasoning with Andrian Ishak. Lastly, Petrina Loh from Singapore will also present her skills on Kitchen Stage: Fundamentals of Flavor with Petrina Loh.
