Come See Mew and MxPx at This Extremely Cheap Festival!
It’s rare to see an international scale music festival to charge their visitors a reasonable priced entrance tickets, but a newly established festival called Stellar Fest aim to do just that. The festival initiated by Stellar Live will be held for five days in May starting from the 9th to the 15th of May 2018. The festival does not only emphasize on its music line-up but also its lifestyle bazaar. Stellar which is an abbreviation of ‘Street, Lifestyle & Art’ production have revealed some information regarding their first edition. As headliners, there will be Danish indie rockers, Mew and punk group MxPx who will perform there. Mew in particular often visit Indonesia as they already did for their album tours several years ago and their last appearance was last year during Soundrenaline 2017. It will also be the second time that MxPx perform in Indonesia following their tour here back in 2012.
Besides these two international guests, the rest of the line-up is made up of Indonesia’s finest rock and punk groups. There are Billfold, I Don’t Like Mondays, Naif, Starlit, Private Number, Rahasia Intelijen, Sisitipsi, Pee Wee Gaskins, Dustbox, SATCF, Sore, Polka Wars and Totalfat. Cited from Bandwagon Asia, it was also revealed that a full line-up for the festival will be announced in the following month a.k.a April.
In the lifestyle bazaar department, Stellar Fest have announced a few brands like TDH, Original Quzzy x Kamengski, Crooz, Sunday Sunday Co, Saint Barkley, Woles, LEAF, Thanksomnia, Berak, Shining Bright Co. and many more. More brands will be added in the future through the festival’s social media. Stellar Fest will take place at Istora Senayan which could shelter thousands of visitors. The ticket as we said earlier is surprisingly cheap. It costs IDR35,000 to enter the festival and you can buy it on the spot only.
