Get Ready to Be Shook by Homeshake This January!
The solo project of Peter Sagar, Homeshake, are coming to Asia this January for a slew of tour dates including a performance in Jakarta. Scheduled to be on stage on 19 January 2018 at Rossi Musik Fatmawati, the Montreal based band are brought to you by Studiorama and Noisewhore. Sagar was formerly known as the guitarist for Mac DeMarco’s live band before deciding to nurture his solo career in 2012. He then created a one-man band under the name of Homeshake. The band have spawned three studio albums so far, “In The Shower” (2014), “Midnight Snack” (2015), and the latest is “Fresh Air” (2017). In 2013, Homeshake also released two mixtapes called “Dynamic Meditation” and “The Homeshake Tape”. For his live set, Peter Sagar usually takes Mark Goetz, Greg Napier and Brad Loughead on board bringing a lo-fi sounds on stage. Their third album “Fresh Air” is claimed to have a more R&B and soul sounding tunes compared to two previous albums which bear strong lo-fi, jangly pop mood. Songs like “Khmlwugh” or “Every Simple Thing” seem to be fit right in on your lo-fi hip hop or soul hop playlist and we’re not complaining about it.
Homeshake are slated to embark on a 10 dates Asia tour that includes performances in South Korea, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan and Indonesia.
