Supersonik #22 Presents Gardika Gigih Live in Concert
After successfully presenting Atilia Haron’s showcase for her new album “No.3” at IFI, Supersonik, a regular gig held by SRM now returns with its 22nd edition. Collaborating with Blank Orb Recodings and Sorge Records, Supersonik #22 presents a showcase from a talented composer and pianist from Yogyakarta, Gardika Gigih Pratama on Saturday, 2 December 2017. The musician has just released his debut solo album called “Nyala” on 6 November 2017 via Sorge Records after releasing three singles before. Gardika Gigih has participated in a lot of musical events including his solo concert for a composition called “Impresi 6 Peristiwa” in 2011. He also collaborated with other musicians from Indonesia and abroad, namely Makoto Nomura from Japan, as well as Banda Neira, Layur, Suta Suma and Jeremia Kimosabe from Indonesia. His work does not only constricted in music world, as it has also made its way to cinematic world. He has worked with notable filmmakers, like Wregas Bhanuteja, Bobby Prasetyo and Yosep Anggi Noen.
He has involved in collaborative concerts with those aforementioned musicians and some of the films he worked on have won some prestigious awards. His solo album has been long overdue and we could not wait for Gardika Gigih to showcase his fullest potential. For his show on Supersonik #22, there will be other musicians he collaborate with like Ananda Badudu, Remedy Waloni (of The Trees and The Wild), Luthfi Kurniadi, Suta Suma Pangekshi, Monita Tahalea and Jeremia Kimosabe. Gata Mahardika who created the artworks for Gardika Gigih’s album “Nyala” will also use this opportunity to exhibit his works.
