If a movie franchise is doing extremely well, why not expand it into something bigger like a live concert? That’s what exactly the team behind hit movie “Ayat Ayat Cinta” does by holding a concert with live orchestra this December. MD Live Production present “Ayat Ayat Cinta in Concert with Live Orchestra – The Colours of Love” on Wednesday, 20 December 2017 at Plenary Hall Jakarta Convention Center in collaboration with event organizer, Marygops Asia Group. The first installment of the movie was a huge success back in 2008 and managed to attract 3.7 million viewers. The story of Fahri (Fedi Nuril), Aisha (Rianti Cartwright), and Maria (Carissa Putri) in a complex love story that involves cultures, religions, and drama became the center of attraction on this movie. This year, the second installment of the movie is planned to be released on 21 December 2017 called “Ayat Ayat Cinta 2”. The live concert that will be held a day before the movie release will unite four divas of Indonesia, there are Krisdayanti, Rossa, Raisa and Isyana Sarasvati. The first movie which has Rossa to fill in the soundtrack made by Melly Goeslaw also helped to popularize the film into wider audience.
Directed by Guntur Soehardjanto, the second series of the film once again appointed Melly Goeslaw and Anto Hoed to create the original soundtrack of the film. “To make the soundtrack for this film was harder than before, since the first one was a big success. But this burden will become my motivation in making a deeper and stronger lyrics. I have read the film script many times, so I could truly understand the song that I’d make will suit the characters from the storyline,” said Melly Goeslaw. This time, Krisdayanti will sing the official soundtrack of the film titled “Ayat Ayat Cinta 2” and the song tells about Fahri’s longing for his loved one and whether she would wait for him. On another note, Rossa will sing another song from the OST called “Bulan Dikekang Malam” which represents the character of Sabrina (Dewi Sandra). Isyana will perform a song created by Yovie Widianto called “Masih Berharap” while Raisa will sing her own composed song for this movie and live concert.
