Rock In Reyog 2017 Is Ready To Rock Ponorogo with Music and Traditional Art!
Ponorogo will host an exciting annual music event called Rock In Reyog this 30 September 2017. The event has a concept of combining rock music gig with traditional art of world-famous Reog Ponorogo. Held for the second time, MBLER Entertainment as the organizer aim to make this event as one of the cultural asset in Ponorogo for national tourism’s level. Usually, this region is known for its Festival Grebeg Suro which is held in conjunction of new Javanese calendar. Taking place at Gedung Kesenian Ponorogo, they offer you a lifetime experience of witnessing rock and traditional art in one place, with warm interaction between the artists and audience. Rock In Reyog 2017 will feature performances from local rockers like Lokapala, Howlerness, Alligator, Set a Thrash, KMF, Aleser, Barmy Blokes, Vegetable Yesterday, Doa Ibu and veteran rock band from Surabaya, Andromedha as its main guest star. For the traditional art, the reyog performance will be carried out by “Sanggar Kawulo Alit” Ponorogo in collaboration with Mahestra (prog-rock ethnic unit from Ponorogo) and Prabu Dylan, a metal wunderkind from Madiun.
“Besides pleasing the eyes and ears of the audience, and presenting a different ambience in performance art and music’s world, Rock In Reyog also becomes a platform to love and preserve Indonesia’s traditional culture, which is Reyog Ponorogo, as well as increasing awareness of the locals of local rock scene,” said Amirul, as the chief coordinator of the event. Two types of tickets are available to purchase which are Festival and Tribun. Festival ticket costs IDR15,000 while the Tribun ticket costs IDR20,000.
