Coldiac Spend The Night SingleColdiac Release “Spend The Night” As A New Single

Fivepiece indie pop, Coldiac, release yet another new single called “Spend The Night”. On 25 August 2017, the band led by Sambadha revealed the track on digital streaming platforms. The single has been previously performed on several live occasions as well as live footage video on their Youtube channel. “The raw version from ‘Spend The Night’ has actually been published on Youtube, and we always bring this song on live (performance). Maybe for you who often come to our show, this song must be the first one we play,” explained the band on a press release. They decided to officially release this song as a single since many people ask for the digital version of the single. It is now available to be streamed on Spotify and . “Spend The Night” underwent several changes from its raw version with the addition of string, synths, and guitar solo towards the end. The artwork was created by their bassist, Bhima Bagaskara containing their signature yellow, white, and black color palette.

It is a light dance pop number with lyrics that are easy to understand. It bears similar sound to Coldiac’s tunes in their debut album. While we like what they do with their music, we can not deny that their resemblance with The 1975 is uncanny in this song. It also has the same vibe with their previous track, bringing similar tones and riffs on the guitar. “Wreck This Journal” is a tad different, and the single that was released at the end of June, 2017 brings us more hope for Coldiac’s upcoming record. Hopefully they could step aside from the big shadow they are under and reveal their greatest potential. The band are currently preparing their next record while still doing live performances across the town. Listen to their latest single “Spend The Night” below.
