eleventwelfth and Rekah Embark on A Joint Tour Across Java!
You better get prepared, because post hardcore unit Rekah and emo group eleventwelfth are ready to conquer Java with their live performances. Both groups are set to do live shows at several spots in Central and East Java on a joint tour. This is not the first time that the two names are on the same project, since they have been included in a compilation album called “Revolution Autumn #2” back in 2016. The tour presented by record labels from the bands which are Six Thirty Recordings and Royal Yawns Records will visit Malang, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta. From 1st September to the 3rd, their tour will start in Malang before continuing their journey to Surabaya and Yogyakarta. The gigs in each city are hosted by local collective partners with Heartfelt Gig Collective for their show in Malang, Rumah Gemah Ripah Collective for their show in Surabaya and YK Booking Club for their last show in Yogyakarta.
eleventwelfth has just been performing as the opening act for Turnover show in Jakarta. The band fronted by Kessa, Rona, and Almas have revealed their debut EP earlier this year with warm response from the listeners. Their EP was also released via Japanese record label, Waterslide Records and distributed in the land of rising sun. This feat was huge considering their relatively short experience in Indonesia’s indie music scene. While Rekah, a band who are constantly promoting awareness for mental health issues have launched their debut EP “Berbagi Kamar” a while ago in June. They are known to combine not only hardcore element in their music, but also hardcore punk, with the dark gloomy ambience of black metal, an element of post rock and shoegaze approach in the album. As stated on the press release we received, Rekah will perform songs from their EP as well as unheard materials. Come to their show so you will not miss the excitement, sadness, and anxiety their music exude.
