Melodic Hardcore Unit, Unsaid Debut with Single “Breathing, Trying”
Here is a newcomer on Malang’s indie music scene, Unsaid. The band which bring the genre of melodic hardcore debut with their first ever single titled “Breathing, Trying”. Nauval (drum), Nirwan (guitar), Helmy (guitar), Wildan (bass-vocal), and Syahrin (vocal) cited Counterparts, Being As An Ocean, More Than Life, Defeater, and Touché Amoré as the bands that influence their music. You could clearly tell it by listening to their first single which combines skramz and melodic rock tunes. The members of this band previously or currently are also active on other bands, and they use their experience and decided to form Unsaid in 2014. Besides skramz, you could also hear a vocal line in this song towards the end, a nice change from the typical hardcore track. They recorded this track in early 2017 at Vamos Studio, Malang.
“Breathing, Trying” has been released digitally on 17 August 2017 and you can listen to it through Spotify, iTunes or Deezer. Judging by the lyrics, the song talks about the helplessness of someone who is left behind by his beloved ones. He could not do or change things that are happening in front of his eyes. Unsaid are currently preparing their mini album which is scheduled to be released next year. With this single, Unsaid are ready to enter Malang’s underground music scene.
