Gearing Up for Soundrenaline 2017 with Road To Soundrenaline in Numerous Cities Across Indonesia!
Counting down to a month before Soundrenaline 2017 is held at Garuda Wisnu Kencana Bali, a series of exciting pre-events called “Road To Soundrenaline” were held in several cities across Indonesia. Approximately, 50 spots were chosen to hold Road To Soundrenaline with unique experience of its own. Two of the cities that already held the pre-event series were Yogyakarta and Bandung. On 29 Juli 2017, Road To Soundrenaline with its official tagline #UnitedWeLoud was held at Lap. PPI Pussenif, Bandung. Not only you could find music performances from musicians that are already included on Soundrenaline 2017 line-up, you could also find out about local musicians like Jionora who represent Bandung for the Band Competition; collaborations from Under The Big Bright Yellow Sun, Jeruji, and Choir; as well as many visual artists who participated on Mural Competition.
The audience were teased about the upcoming collaborations on Soundrenaline 2017, like Danilla who will team up with Mondo Gascaro later on. Not only musician or visual artist who could participate on Soundrenaline 2017, as stated by Andhika Adiputra as the representative of Road To Soundrenaline organizer in Bandung, photographer, videographer and also Liaison Officers are the talents that will be sourced from GoAheadPeople to form Soundrenaline Squad.
While Road To Soundrenaline event in Yogyakarta presented performances from Mocca, Naif, Dipha Barus, FSTVLST, Scaller, Shaggydog and many more. Desperados represent Yogyakarta as the selected band from Band Competition who will battle it out for a chance to perform at Soundrenaline 2017 and collaborate with Alexa. There was also mural competition and market place which was filled with products from Yogyakarta’s curated local brands. On a press conference held prior to the event, Stella Gareth as the frontwoman of Scaller expressed about her opinion on their upcoming collaboration with jazz-pop musician, Andien.
Just like what was stated on the press conference of Soundrenaline 2017 back in 11 July 2017 in Jakarta, this year’s celebration promised more exciting collaboration projects with the astounding amount of 9 projects. Those projects including Soundrenaline Project 3.0 (Danilla, Candil, Shae, Aqi (Alexa), Monita Tahalea and Fadli from Musikimia), Rhythm of People (Stella (Scaller), Marco (Barasuara), Iga Massardi (Barasuara), Kikan and Coki of NTRL), and 7 duets that might intrigue your curiosity.
For instance, could you imagine how Kelompok Penerbang Rocket‘s sound combined with Glenn Fredly? Other duets from the project are Neonomora x HMGNC, Stars and Rabbit x Bottlesmoker, Barry Likumahuwa x Abdul and Coffee Theory, and Endah n Rhesa X Adhitia Sofyan. For fashion lovers, Soundrenaline 2017 also open a chance for you to express yourself. “Music and fashion are getting more related now. So, Soundrenaline becomes the right moment to show our fashion sense so we could also enjoy a unique festival experience,” stated Ajeng Svastiari, a renowned fashion stylist. Besides Yogyakarta, Tangerang, and Bandung who already held special Road To Soundrenaline, the event will greet music, art, fashion, and gig enthusiasts in Surabaya, Medan, Makassar, and Palembang.
