Alternative Unit from Solo, Suaserima Debut with “Memorabilia”
Suaserima which is a band from Solo was formed in 2012 and now they would like to introduce their music through debut single “Memorabilia”. Raden Silva (vocal), Dominico Bertho (guitar, vocal), Eru Ahmadia (guitar), and Galih Danurwendo (bass) bring the theme of daily life, personal experience, and their surroundings as the main inspirations for their music. Proclaiming themselves as an alternative band, Suaserima draw their influence from pop, rock and experimental music. It is shown on their first single “Memorabilia” which is a combination of many elements into one delicate melodies. Starting out with a pretty long and toned down intro, we are then welcomed with dynamic guitar picks and twinkles. The vocal comes in on 1:45 marks showing the combination of female and male voices from Raden Silva and Dominico Bertho. The main recurring melodies is pretty catchy and the instrumental is tight, just a tad more polishing on the vocals would make this track by Suaserima even better.
Through a press release, the band explain that this single was chosen as it could represent the concept from their forthcoming album. This single release signifies for Suaserima’s first record that is going to be unveiled soon. “Memorabilia” tells about the moment of friendship and acts as a reminder before humans grow up into adulthood and decide to immerse themselves with working, moving to another place, and so on. Space and time that make these friends apart sometimes are not the barriers for connecting and communicating to each other. All the hustle and bustle that are happening to each of their lives, would not discourage friends to meet again, reminisce their youth and share new things they have just encountered. All of this narration for “Memorabilia” seems like the perfect fairy tale that rarely exists because sometimes people put business as the main reasons for growing apart, even though the main reason is not making enough time for each other.
