Liam Gallagher of former Britpop legend, Oasis, is scheduled to visit the city of Jakarta, Indonesia for his upcoming world tour. The news broke when the promoter Nada Promotama announced it on their social media about Liam’s concert. This concert is presented by Nada Promotama, a promoter based in Bandung in collaboration with Collective Touring as the Co-Promoter. Beforehand, both parties have joined hands in holding international scale concerts for indie rock band from US, MAE and pop punk unit, The All American Rejects in Indonesia. The coming of the 45-year-old musician from Britain is also in conjunction with the promotion for his upcoming solo album titled “As You Were”. Seeing the high enthusiasm for Liam Gallagher and the huge Oasis fanbase in the country, Liam’s management and the promoters agree to hold the concert on 8 August 2017 at Ecovention Ancol. Prior to the official announcement, the news of the concert already broke and some people thought that this was just internet hoax that was spread by irresponsible parties.

As a response, Emil Mahyudin, the Founder/Owner of Nada Promotama says, “We were surprised when we received the news that there was Liam’s concert poster roaming around, although we have not announced anything. But it was also exciting when we first gave the official announcement, the enthusiasm and response were so massive and positive.” If you ask whether Liam Gallagher will sing Oasis’ song, the answer is yes. The news is confirmed by the CEO of Collective Touring, PJ Panji and he already asked this important matter to Liam’s management. The singer is slated to arrive in Indonesia on 7 August 2017 after finishing his scheduled concert in Montreal Canada on 5 August. The ticket for this concert has been up on sale and the fans waste no time to purchase the presale tickets that was sold on 2 June 2017. In the matter of 6 hours, the presale tickets have sold out and forced the promoter to push forward the selling of the normal ticket starting on 3 June until the end of July.
