Blues Trio, Amik Brothers Debut with Single “Jangan Ada Cinta”
Amik Brothers, blues trio hailing from Malang that consist of Amy Yuviantono (guitar,vocal), Miqdad (bass) and Ganesh (drum) have just debuted with their single called “Jangan Ada Cinta”. They decided to reveal their first original single after performing at several places in Malang and beyond, and cover songs from other musicians. The single was recorded at Audiolectica Record and mixed by Rizky Toar (Remissa) and Bagas Yudhiswa (Beeswax). The title of this song raises some questions from the listener for its negative remark. When most of the songs encourage us to love each other, Amik Brothers said that there should be no love. Through a press release, they explained that they try to give a new perspective on this matter. The song which has a strong blues root and stresses on its melancholic tune, it tells about their worries about hatred that always presents besides the love itself.
Amik Brothers think that there should be no love at all if there is always negativity as the company. The song has prominent blues guitar sound which turns and tweak in a slow tempo beats. This single is their first step towards the release of their first full lenght album. The album is planned to be released within this year. Amik Brothers’ music is said to be heavily inspired and influenced by renown blues musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Matt Schofield, Eric Clapton, Josh Smith and John Mayer.
