My Mother Is Hero Show Painful Love Through “Hurt” Music Video
Rock unit from Surabaya, My Mother Is Hero unveiled their third music video for “Hurt” on 26 May 2017. Beforehand, the band has revealed two music videos for “Guided Democracy” and “Godless” last year. All the songs are taken from their album “Midst” which was released in 2016. For this music video, Quickart Production are in charge for the making, starting from the concept up to the final production that took approximately two days in five different locations. The lyrics that were written by the vocalist Yasser Bahassoan tell about someone who realize the true meaning of life, it was later developed by Ilmi Syahada and Riezky Trisna Putra for the music video. In the music video of “Hurt”, we can see the story from a young mother who gets depressed after her marriage is in shamble. Taking her child with her, she runs away from her husband and home to find out about her own life.
The video stars Suci Damar Jati as the main actress and it was told that after reading the script and getting immersed in her role, she shed a tear while filming the music video and you can see it in one of the scene from “Hurt”. My Mother Is Hero also held a special release for this music video a while back in collaboration with Colors Radio Surabaya. There was a talk show about the making of this video, and a screening time as well. Besides the actress mentioned above, there are an actor, a child actor, and Yasser himself starring on the video of “Hurt”. You can watch the dark and twisted music video for the single below.
