JIVVA End Their Tour to Promote Single “Matahari” in Seven Cities

JIVVA are a band comprised of Kevin Widaya (vocal), Dimas Wibisana (gitar) and Ankadiov (bass). On December last year, they have revealed a single called “Matahari” and starting from 7 May 2017, they embarked on a tour titled “Perjalanan Matahari” to promote their single and upcoming album. The tour does not only bring their music but also a naration in which a character called “Matahari” comes to life and spreads love across the world. Written by Dimas Wibisana, the back story of the appearance from Matahari is that it is the creation from God and he was born to be the greatest among all and has a purpose to spread love all over the world. During ‘Perjalanan Matahari’, it comes across many things including self discovery and love. With only one single on the bag, the tour from JIVVA can be considered a bold move to introduce their music. Malang, Surabaya, Solo, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Bandung and Jakarta are the cities visited by JIVVA on their Perjalanan Matahari tour. During their final show in Jakarta, Dimas expressed his feeling, “I can not hold my pride for this super team that is willing to work harder than a horse in this tour. Adifyan Asga, Fendy, Kaleb Sitompul, Edwin Raymondo, and Tommy Pratomo. These people who are used to perform comfortably have sacrificed themselves to deal with wire routing, putting on speakers, and do other things by themselves.”

The philosophy behind this single is the portrayal of Matahari to reflect human in the current era. It can fall in love, heartbroken, jealous or feel any mundane feelings. The narration also chronicles the creation of phenomena like morning, night, eclipse, rainbow, or any other myths. It seems like we are reading an entire chapter of a spiritual journey that reminds us of Buddha. Furthermore, they also take the story behind Matahari with a real live portrayal from a young actor named Christoffer Nelwan who acted on “Musikal Laskar Pelangi” and other big screen features like “Rudy Habibie”, “Marmut Merah Jambu” and “Athirah”.
