Basha Arcade IMAGINARIUM Highlights Creative Industry Talents in Surabaya, Visit The Marketplace on Its Last Day!
Basha Arcade is a marketplace held in Surabaya to host creative products and put forward the visual experience for the visitors. This time the event that takes place from 28 – 30 April 2017 at Ciputra World brings the theme called “IMAGINARIUM” a fleet of wonders. Basha Arcade with the aforementioned concept will offer an art exhibition and installation which is inspired by steampunk movement. Its grand design will combine a touch of history with a tour of anachronistic technology that is inspired by science. Christine Erin Harsono as the Co-Founder of Basha Market explains the role of the marketplace for the creative workers in Surabaya. “As a city with second largest economy in Indonesia after Jakarta, Surabaya definitely has a huge creative industry market. Surabaya’s youth have to be given platform and chance to spread their names. From here we will slowly develop the market for creative industry,” adds Christine. As a fun fact, Basha is a slang Singaporean word for “Pasar” or market, so it befits the whole marketplace for creative industry concept.
In this edition of IMAGINARIUM, Basha tries to reach a wider scope in creative industry by signing up artists to collaborate in an installation creation. This effort will not only unify these creative talents, but also produce an extraordinary creation which can prove the ability of local creative industry. Basha Arcade also boast various programs and new vendors which the visitors could see and interact with.
