Ubud Food Festival 2017 is Ready To Be Held: See The Full Line-Up and Grab The Ticket!
What can beat the combination of a serene and splendid location with a one-of-a-kind culinary experience? Ubud Food Festival 2017 will hold its celebration this May from the 12th up t0 14th. More than 100 chefs, culinary icons, restaurateurs, environmental advocates and social innovators from Indonesia as well as abroad will be in Bali for a 3-day-event held by UFF. Headlining this year’s international guests are Chele González of Gallery VASK – the Philippines’ only entrant on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2017, chef and author Joannès Rivière of Cambodia’s coveted Cuisine Wat Damnak, and Sicilian-born, award-winning chef owner of Singapore’s Gattopardo Ristorante di Mare and Sydney’s Olio, Lino Sauro. They’ll be joined by Manjunath Mural of Singapore’s Michelin-starred The Song of India, Robuchon Bangkok Group’s Executive Pastry Chef, Belgian Yannis J. Janssens, the ‘Anthropologist in the Kitchen’, Taiwanese chef and writer Tzu-i Chuang Mullinax, one of Peru’s most revered chefs, Eduardo Montes, and Bo Songvisava and Dylan Jones of Bangkok’s coveted Bo.lan restaurant (no. 19 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants).
Indonesia as the host also boast its finest culinary expertise like Karen Carlotta, Adhika Maxie, Fernando Sindu, and Ragil Imam Wibowo who redefine Indonesia’s modern cuisine. Seasoned chefs and culinary icons, Rinrin Marinka, Farah Quinn, Sisca Soewitomo, Bondan Winarno, William Wongso as well as tempe expert Professor Winarno are also reported to be in attendance during Ubud Food Festival 2017. UFF offer free or ticketed events for anyone who would love to immerse themselves into new culinary adventure, lesson, sharing and more. If you ever wonder about the chefs behind some of the best restaurants, in one of the program called Special Events, you got the chance to meet the people behind world renown restaurants like Cuca, Indonesia Asli, or Locavore. Indonesia’s highly diverse cuisine from Manado, Bali to Papua will be dissected in another program. There is also an in-depth talkshow concerning biodiversity and pro-health movement in culinary world led by experts and certified practitioners.
