ZALORA x Liputan 6 Welcome Ramadhan with Digital Fashion Runway
The holy month of Ramadhan is upon us and ZALORA as the biggest fashion e-commerce in Asia joined force with Liputan 6 to present “Digital Fashion Runway”. In this event, ZALORA present the collection for Hari Raya 2017 for Zalia as well as other 5 Moslem wear fashion designers like Anniesa Hasibuan, Vivi Zubedi, Kamilaa by Itang Yunasz, Kami Idea and I.K.Y.K. The fashion show that took place at Atrium Senayan City, Jakarta on April 7th 2017 offered a series of Moslem fashionwear which has ethnic/tribal influence with such elegance and radiance. The designers also want to stay displaying modest style by also following the latest fashion trends. Besides that, Digital Fashion Runway also showcased 60 collection Moslem fashion wear for both men and women.
The first collection was opened by Zalia with the theme ‘Enchanted Forester’. Floral, leaves and other natural elements with calm and earthy colors become the strong point for Zalia’s design in this collection. Anthony Fung as the CEO of ZALORA uttered, “I’m glad that ZALORA could become a destination for Eid Al-Fitr fashion shopping this year. Zalia 2017 collection will become an interesting choice for women who want to follow the latest trend while still looking modest and elegant. We do not forget to provide our best selection from five Indonesian Moslem wear designers, whose collections are all available exclusively at ZALORA.” Not only Zalia, Anniesa Hasibuan, the designer who has showcased her collection on New York Fashion Week graced the Digital Fashion Runway with the theme Cosmoflo Extend. She fuses cheerful pastel toned colors in her latest collection.
Vivi Zubaedi explores the design and pattern from kebaya as the main theme of her design which is titled “Emirati Lady”. Kamilaa by Itang Yunasz brought out batik pattern with Nusantara touches with a contemporary cutting in a collection titled “Belanga Wastra”. Kami Idea performed such interesting take on colorful patterns and took it to the next level with their design. Lastly, I.K.Y.K closed the show with a collection named “Kazu” which is the Japanese word for harmony. The participation of ZALORA in this fashion show was in conjunction with Fashion Nation by Senayan City. The concept of See Now, Buy Now was put forward by the e-commerce to urge the attendees to directly buy the collection once after it was finished being displayed on the runway.
