Whitenoir Unleash Their First Visual for Debut Single “Sub-District”
There is no sign of stopping from the grunge band hailing from Malang, Whitenoir. Ekki, Alle, Ade and Helmi have finally revealed their first ever music video for their debut single “Sub-District”. The single has been previously revealed through several digital streaming services with its audio on 26 February 2017. A little over a month afterwards, it leads to the visual release of it. The music video was first premiered exclusively on a netlabel based in Jakarta, Holytunes. Holytunes take part as the host of the music video where Whitenoir’s clip can be streamed on their Youtube channel. The video was shot and directed by Levicor Production who have handled the music video for fellow indie band from Malang, Shewn. As you might remember from our previous post, “Sub-District” tells about a sarcasm directed to individuals who agrees on everything because of his/her narrow-mindedness and how this individual could turn back the fact to his own advantage.
As the music video goes, it does not involve a heavy or complicated plot. It just shows Whitenoir rocking out to “Sub-District” in a living room. With the addition of lyrics in the middle of the video and shaky styled cinematography, it reminds us of those 90’s rock band videos. Moreover, Whitenoir are currently undertaking radio promotion in Surabaya and Malang in order to introduce their music as well as their upcoming EP titled “Feed Me” that will be released on 22 April 2017. The album is planned to be released under a record label based in Malang, Pop Flesh Records. Besides “Sub-District”, the band have also another single in bag which is called “Help Me Sleep” which got a lyrics video release on their Youtube channel.
