Yogyakarta’s Indie Pop Unit, Olski Reveal Sweet New Single “Tunggu”
This year has been marked as Olski‘s year as the band plan to release their debut album titled “In The Wood”. Beforehand, the listeners could try a little taste of what Olski have to offer with their new single called “Tunggu”. Formed in 2013 in one of the state university in Yogyakarta, the indie pop acoustic band went through several member changes and now they are settled with the current formation which are Atika (drum & percussion), Dea (vocal), Dicki (guitar) and Shohih (glockenspiel & melodica). The song “Tunggu” tells about a youth’s love story where the female side says to the guy that she hates to rush into things. It’s better to be in a slow but steady relationship where everything has been prepared carefully. Olski decided to reveal the song for the fans after taking a long time to finish the album.
In this single, Olski also collaborate with two other musicians who bear the same name, Faizal. Faizal Al Kautsar from Orkes Pensil Alis lent his talent in playing flute in “Tunggu” while Faizal Aditya from Answer Sheet and Archiblues participated in the bass section. The contribution from these two makes the song sounds more cheerful and easy listening. Billy Dinata was in charge as the producer of the song which was recorded in Studio Interest, Yogyakarta. “The song and the album are some of our most awaited dreams, after such long anticipation, we hope that everyone will be pleased with our work,” utters Dea, the vocalist of Olski. The song is available to be streamed through a host of digital outlets like Soundcloud or Youtube. Their upcoming album “In The Wood” will be out during mid-year. Let the happy tunes of Olski on “Tunggu” cheer you up in this gloomy weather!
