The enthusiasm surrounding SCALLER‘s first ever concert “Spirit of The Thing” is overwhelmingly positive. It is proven by the presale tix selling out just days after it was announced. There is another big change to their concert, as it is officially moved to a bigger venue. Initially planned to be held at Erasmus Huis, Kuningan, Scaller realized that the place is not enough to accommodate their needs. They move it to a bigger venue at Soehanna Hall, Energy Building, SCBD, Setiabudi Jakarta. Even so, the date is still set on 23 February 2017. The duo comprised of Reney Karamoy and Stella Gareth decided to move their concert venue due to several reasons. “We want to show that we are serious about holding this concert”, says Reney.
Even if it could be considered as a risky move, SCALLER promise a better set of visual and lighting in the new space. Soehanna Hall is not a new playground for the band as they have been here before to be the opening act of Canadian band, Stars. In their live set, the band is assisted by Enrico Octaviano on drums and Gerard Rumintjap as their sound engineer. For you who haven’t had the chance to obtain the presale ticket, there will be another round of sale starting from 13 – 20 February 2017 on their website for IDR125,000. The ticket bundling which comes with a copy of “Senses” album will be sold on the spot for IDR150,000. Their debut full-length album “Senses” has been praised by several media and critics alike, giving the alternative rock duo a promising future in their music venture. They previously released an EP called “1991” back in 2013 and some singles as well. Stay tuned with us for more updates and exclusive interview with SCALLER!
