Indie Rock Collective, Much, Unveil Their Second Single Titled Uneven
It’s been a while since indie rock unit from Malang, Much released a new material since their well-received debut album “Closest Thing I Can Relate To”. Their first album which pushed a single “Break Heart, Break Apart” as the lead song has made the band become the talk of the town, and they even got national coverage from several media outlets. “Uneven” is chosen as their second single that also marks that Much are entering their sophomore album phase. The band that consists of Anggi, Dandy, Risang, Vino and Pandu aims to celebrate weariness, anxiety and uncertainty in a love relationship with the second single.
The track opens with a jangly guitar and punchy drums which paved the way for Anggi to reveal her adorable voice. Judging by the lyrics of the track that you could find out from their Soundcloud, “Uneven” depicts the feeling of someone who feels that his/her love and sacrifice are useless and unequal, leading to them raising questions and worries within their minds. Having had a generally depressing topic, Much wants the listeners to celebrate the feeling of weariness in a positive light. The overall tone of the track is pretty uplifting and we could say that it’s more enjoyable as you listen to it more and more.
Previously, Much have released their first single “Break Heart, Break Apart” in a music video format as well and released their debut album in CD and exclusive cassette tapes with download-able mp3 code. Mini book which is filled with lyrics from the first album and guitar chords are also an accompaniment to their first release. Their forthcoming album is planned to be released early next year via their current record label, Haum Entertainment. Listen to Much single titled “Uneven” below
