Fallyears Records Present Their New Signee, Dizzyhead with Debut Single “You”
Dizzyhead, happens to be a long time dream for a female musician hailing from Malang, Hanifa Miryami. When she met Bagas Yudhiswa, her dream to form a band came true, as now her solo project as Dizzyhead, debuts with a single titled “You”. The single was recorded and released under Fallyears Records, a relatively new record label based in Malang, East Java. Produced by her own labelmate, the production did not take a long time to fruit. Hanifa said that the surf-punk project is more like a band format even though she has not recruit a live formation to accompany her to perform. Hanifa’s venture in the music scene was heavily influenced by her surroundings and friends. She utters, “I’m in an environment where I’m surrounded by fellow musicians and the wish to form a band has been my long time goal. It has just happened recently and did not take a long time thanks to Bagas as the producer.”
“You” itself is a cheerful single that tells about a lovey dovey relationship when you have just fallen in love with someone. The lyrics which were written by Hanifa herself tells her honest feelings and describes the sweet emotion, till it almost reaches cheesy borderline. The song was wrapped in surf like guitar riffs that spans until 2 minutes and 6 seconds. Moreover, this single is planned to be included in Dizzyhead’s first album called “Good Ol’ Days”. The album artwork was created by Hanifa Miryami that shows a collage picture of her childhood and her family. She hopes that her debut single “You” could be widely received by Indonesia’s music scene and Malang’s music scene in particular. She also wishes that this project will be maintained continuously.
