Solitour 2016 Will Bring Unique Concept for Their Stop in Jakarta
Malang, Surabaya, Solo, Semarang and Yogyakarta have been ticked from the bucket list of Solitour 2016. Gerald Situmorang and Tommy Pratomo now will continue the Solitour journey to Bandung and Jakarta. Today (11/21), the tour will go down in Bandung at Vanilla Kitchen which will only be available for 180 people who bought the tickets through an online registration. Bringing out a similar setlist from the rest of the tour, the two musicians said that each cities that they have visited own different kind of excitement and crowds. Gerald noticed that Surabaya’s crowd remained cool and calm despite the huge number of people, and the audience in Solo and Yogyakarta were filled with laughter. Performing instrumental music only, it does not reduce the audience’s response for their music. “They were humming or danced a little during our performance, so it has become a view that made us more passionate. In spite of no lyrics, the music that we bring can still be enjoyed just fine,” utters Tommy Pratomo.
On Wednesday, November 23rd, the entourage will hold a homecoming show in Jakarta with a new concept and lots of performances from fellow musicians. Taking place at Shoemaker Studio in Cikini, the audience will not only get to see Gerald plays his guitar or Tommy plays his saxophone, Monita Tahalea, TJ Kusuma, Sri Hanuraga, Dika Chasmala, Jessilardus Mates, Saxx In The City and Dimas Pradipta will also share the stage of Solitour 2016. This concept will make the concert a remarkable journey for Gerald who will play songs from his “Solitude” album and Tommy who will belt out tunes from his album “TND”.
Gerald has not spilled the beans on what’s going to happen on Solitour stage in Jakarta, and said that it is a secret. Uniquely, Solitour in Jakarta does not set a fixed price for the entrance fee, instead they give the audience the freedom to set a worthy price to watch the concert.
