Indische Party Release Sophomore Album “ANALOG”
The 60’s revival unit from Jakarta, Indische Party finally release their sophomore album “ANALOG” today (11/15) via Demajors Records. The band that consists of Japs Shadiq (vocal/harmonica), Kubil (guitar), Jacobus (bass) and Tika (drum), has previously released one full lenght self-titled album in 2013 and one mini album “On Vacation” in 2016. “ANALOG” sees Indische Party in a more refined version since the production and recording process were more well-prepared than their first one.
David Tarigan acts as the producer for “ANALOG” and many musicians lent a hand in this project like John Navid or more famously known as Uncle John from White Shoes & The Couples Company. Moreover, Tika explained that the band got help from Harry’s Drum Craft, to set up the kick drum, floor, tom snare and the cymbals. They were specifically picked and arranged to bring out the vintage sound that suits Indische Party. “We got help from David Tarigan, John Navid, and Harry himself to set it up (red: the drum setting),” admit Tika.
Suryoprayogo “Kiting” Setiadi (The Adams), Dharmo “Mas Mo” Soedirman (Sentimental Moods), Indra Perkasa (Tomorrow People Ensemble), as well as Jimi Multhazam (The Upstairs/Morfem/Bequiet) aided in writing the lyrics in one track off the album called “Terkapar Sudah”. John Navid also filled in the glockenspiel voice in the recording and took all the pictures of the band for this album. The fans are in for a treat, as Tika for the first time sings in a song called “Ingin Dekatmu”. Overall, the preparation stage was more well-executed by the band said Japs Shadiq.
They have unveiled the first single “Serigala” in October 2016 which led to the full album digital release in November. On top of that, “ANALOG” will be released in CD format in December which will be continued with an album launching party within the same month.
