FLIP Burger: So Flippin’ Good!
Excuse our lame pun on the title, but we just visited FLIP Burger which opened a month ago. FLIP Burger is the creation of Chef Afit, who you may recognize from his endeavor at Holycow! Steak. He created this fast food chain specialized in burger and we have to give it a try. They serve not only beef burger, but also fish burger with side dishes and various finger snacks. Our grumbling tummies should deserve the best so we chose Smacker which is beef, well…double beef patties, with extra beef bacon. We also got Flip B which is a cheese burger, with fries on the side, and free refill-able lemon tea. Bacon and cheese tots fries is the side dish of our choice. The price ranges from IDR 30K to IDR 62K for the main course, a reasonable deal we dare say considering we are eating at Senopati area which is famous for its elite dining and coffee shops with expensive rate.
Smacker’s patties are definitely thicker than the ones in FLIP A or B, and it is pretty juicy. The cheese adds those extra savory flavor to the burger and the bacon is crispy, it does not feel too overwhelming. The buns’ texture is soft enough, this might not be a big deal to you but dry and chewy buns are such a turn off in a potentially good burger. Cheeseburger on FLIP B got this cheese overload, and if those are not enough the bacon and cheese tots fries bring more and more cheese to you.
Overall, the portion is really satisfying and the most important part of the burger, which is the beef patty is flavorful, juicy, and meaty. Designed in mostly red interior and a classic US diner, you cannot miss this spot if you go by. Plus, the crowd is still bustling at this place since it’s relatively new. We would definitely come back to FLIP Burger if we craved for burgers. It’s flippin’ good!
