Tomõo Steak x Grill Review by The Display

Tomõo Steak x Grill offers experience in steak and grill. They also serve Indonesian dishes. We tasted Australian sirloin steak, grilled menus and chicken satay. For the beverages, we tried lychee and strawberry tea, lemonade and strawberry milk.

The Australian sirloin steak was served with barbeque sauce, mashed potato, roasted corn, spinach, veggies and extra mozzarella cheese (optional). It was a quite big portion. We ordered the meat in medium rare and it came as medium rare which is some restaurant might not get correctly. The beef is tender with smoky flavor, the chef didn’t forget to rest the beef anyway. The mashed potato looked like little scoopes of ice cream, unfortunately it’s not creamy enough like we expected. The roasted corn might make you more full. The spinach was seasoned well, not overpowering, and it’s also a good innovation since it is rare to find spinach as a side dish to steak. The other veggies also seasoned well. The sauce was good, it matched well with the premium steak and added rich flavor to it. The mozarella cheese was a nice touch.

The chicken satay was served with rice. The chicken was tender and juicy with big cuts. The peanut sauce was nice and mildly tasting. We then proceeded to grill thin slices of beef yakiniku, chicken, gindara fish, shitake and enoki mushroom. They were practically seasoned all the same but the beef and enoki was seasoned a bit spicy, might not be suitable for those who can handle spiciness well.
We also tried deep fried broccoli but it was actually cauliflower coated with flour served with mayonnaise sauce. Despite the confusion between broccoli and cauliflower, it tasted alright. The mayo sauce was a bit too salty though. Unfortunately the beverages was not so special. The ambience in Tomõo is fun and it’s definitely a place to gather with a lot of people since grilling takes a lot of work. Suffice to say, it needs more fans or air conditioner. Other than that, we’ll definitely come back!
