Trio Ligro Went Wild and Untamed on Jazz Buzz Salihara 2018
JAKARTA (02/17) – Trio Ligro are just like that fancy cuisine that simply not anyone can enjoy. Their music is intricate, not a simple traditional jazz music that will persuade the listeners or viewers to sit back and relax. During their performance as the opener of Jazz Buzz Salihara 2018: Jazz Sans Frontiéres 03, they truly showed their colors and they were not holding anything back. The trio performed several progressive rock jazz numbers from their latest release “Transisi”. It was a combination between noise music, rock, jazz which is wrapped in the most chaotic and brutal way. There is simply no way in between with this group, it’s either you like it or you don’t. Formed in 2004, Trio Ligro stay true with their original formation comprising of Agam Hamzah (guitar), Adi Darmawan (bass), and Gusti Hendy (drum). If you wonder why their music is rather absurd, you should know that each of them has different musical background. Agam is an expert in jazz blues and rock; Adi studies about classic music, dangdut and jazz; while Hendy is known for his metal, rock and blues roots.
