Studio Ghibli’s Most Popular Movies Will Be Screened in Indonesia Starting with “Spirited Away”!

Studio Ghibli’s most famous movies are coming to Indonesia on 45 theaters in 17 cities across the country. The special screening was due to the collaboration between Kaninga Pictures and Hakuhodo DY who partner up with Studio Ghibli as the licenser, the project is also in cooperation with Indonesia’s largest cinema network, Cinema 21. For longtime Ghibli fans, the opportunity to watch the splendid films by the Academy Award winning animation studio only happen through the internet by streaming, or their personal gadget. The biggest venue to host the Studio Ghibli screening only comes once or twice during Japanese themed festival or cultural festival. The chance to watch Ghibli’s masterpiece will start from April to September 2017, and the event will be halted in June as the holy month of Ramadhan will be happening then. “Spirited Away” will open the celebration of Ghibli movie fiesta from next month. The story about the adventure of a girl named Chihiro into a spirit land to look for her parents, have captured the hearts of the viewers for its strong plot and imaginative setting.
