In life, we are often left out by our peers who used to be so close to us. Alvin Baskoro from the folk group Alvin & I must have gone through the same thing, but he uses the opportunity to put out a new single called “Beranjak”. This also will be his first debut EP with the same name. On 24 February 2017, he uploaded the single in his Soundcloud account. According to a press release, this single has been kept in his cellular phone for a long time and became an unfinished material for his band. He then felt that this track is not suitable to be performed by Alvin & I, and instead he includes it for his solo materials. “Beranjak” showcases his longing for his bandmates who have now moved to some different places for work. “I don’t desire to be a soloist or whatever they call it. In a sense, this song can be considered as a friend, I hope it can be a loyal companion for those who are lonely. Because there is always time to talk again,” says Alvin about this project.
