Shaggydog can be considered as legend in Indonesia’s music scene as they will reach their 20th anniversary this year. The ska band have endured the hardships as a band for a long time with minimum member changes. As an appreciation and gratitude for their 20 year long career, the band hailing from Yogyakarta will hold a solo concert. In the past, the band who is fronted by Heruwa was predicted to be unable to make it past the glory days of ska music in the early 2000. But they managed to stay together and prove it wrong. They even broke out from major record label, and made their own independent record label, Doggy House Records that gives opportunities to emerging ska musicians to showcase their talents. Last year, Shaggydog have released their latest album “Putra Nusantara” on digital format in conjunction with Indonesia’s Independence Day on 17 August 2016. They also have launched the physical release of the record in November 2016 and released a special vinyl set during Record Store Day 2017 in April.
