Circarama Unveil New Single “Apple Queen” with A Lyrics Video
Psychedelic fourpiece from Jakarta, Circarama released their latest single “Apple Queen” two days ago. Under record label Helat Tubruk, Jugo Djarot (vocal, guitar), Faiz Mochamad Rais (guitar), Rifaldi Moeli (bass, vocal) and Eki Yuda Sena (drum) unveiled the song in a lyrics video that has made its way on the band’s official Youtube channel. The lyrics video exudes a 60’s psychedelic vibe with the chosen images and footage. The video was created by Dhiwang “Kokoro” Seta who also created Oscar Lolang’s lyrics video for “Clouds of Jakarta” and Polka Wars’ video for “Seek”. The song tells about a dilemma of a girl who works as a lady of the evening and Circarama take the point of view of an outsider who sees the phenomenon from afar. “We want to tell about a commercial sex worker from the second person’s point of view, in which he becomes the observer of the phenomena. Musically, this number is different from our previous ones. We used to have many repetitive parts, this time we give something new to reduce its repetitiveness,” explain the band.
