Two years in the making, finally rock unit called Anomalyst are ready to give you a taste of their full-length album with double a-side single release. Christianto Ario Wibowo (vocalist/guitarist), Aryo Respati Xavier (vocalist/guitarist), Farizky Wijanarko (drum), and Rigaskara (bass) revealed two songs “Senyawa” and “Losing Game” at the first day of this month. Both tracks are taken from their upcoming debut LP, “Segara”. If you’re the type of person who is up to date with recent news or breaking news, then the mysterious case of Wayan Mirna Salihin’s death last year from cyanide might be familiar. The complicated case of a suspected homicide inspired Chritianto Ario Wibowo, to write lyrics and compose music from it and it is later titled “Senyawa”. “The inspiration of “Senyawa” came from Mirna’s case and cyanide coffee that used to be the hot topic of national media,” explained Ario, “compound – in the form of water, cyanide, iron or human itself – is like a double-edged knife: it could benefit humans or used as a way to spread hatred and crime.” He continued that in the end, all compounds in the universe will blend into one with all of its harmony and clashes. It could be the beginning of life and the end.
